L.A. County Passes Proposal to Provide Free Feminine Products

According to ABC 7, the Los Angeles County will provide free feminine hygiene products, diapers, and other personal care items at government facilities.

The Board of Supervisors just approved the program today, April 5th, and will work with parks, libraries, social services departments, county museums, cultural venues to develop a one-year pilot program. If the program is successful, L.A. County officials will look into future funding sources to help with the program.

The city of Los Angeles will also begin a pilot program which helps provide menstrual products in restrooms at five public libraries. Go to ABC 7 for more info on what L.A. County officials had to say about the program.
