Beyoncé and Donald Glover Already Started Recording Songs for "Lion King"

We are still a whole year away from the live-action remake of The Lion King, but if you're anxiously anticipating its release like I am, I got some great news for you.

First of all, as you can see above, the cast is AMAZING! I mean Beyoncé, Donald Glover, James Earl Jones, John Oliver, Billy Eichner, and freakin' Seth Rogen in a Disney movie. Wow!

If that wasn't exciting enough, Elite Daily is reporting that Donald Glover and Beyoncé have already started recording songs for the movie's soundtrack.

Glover spoke to Entertainment Tonight and said: "We started recording some stuff and it's, you know, it's a little intimidating ... [At least] from my point of view."

And, of course, he already knew every word to every song because he's already seen the movie multiple times like any other sane human being.

"They're like, 'So here are the lyrics,' and I'm like, 'I know the lyrics! Don't worry, I was in fourth grade when this came out.'"

Apparently, our excitement for Beyoncé singing our favorite childhood songs is worth the hype. Glover said: "Just hearing her do it, it's been like, 'Man, this is a really special thing.'"

And... we have more news! Beyoncé is also collaborating with Elton John... excuse me... SIR Elton John to make an original song for the new movie!

A source told The Sun that "It was really important to Beyoncé that she was heavily involved in creating the soundtrack. She is putting a lot of time and effort into the film and she is confident it will be huge."

This is just making it so much harder to accept the fact that we won't be able to witness the amazingness that is this film until next Summer 2019, but it sounds like it's definitely worth the wait!
