Ah, Jimmy Kimmel. A wonderful host caught up in a not-so-wonderful Oscars moment.
You know the one from last night... When La La Land was announced for Best Picture only to realize the wrong envelope was given to the presenters and Moonlight had actually won the coveted Oscar.
Like. This moment:
Well of course Jimmy cracked a joke to lighten the mood, claiming onstage that he blames Steve Harvey (who famously announced the wrong winner at Miss Universe in 2015). But then backstage Jimmy caught up with Kelly Ripa and joked that it was all his own fault... before quickly explaining there's no way he did this because if he had he would NOT have let the La La Land team make their speeches.
I think it's safe to say Jimmy was even more confused and embarrassed than we were sitting at home watching... and that was pretty confused and embarrassed.

Shout out to Moonlight and La La Land for being fantastic films AND handling that situation gracefully.
